I heard a quote recently that stuck with me:
"When you look back on your life, you'll never look back and wish that you'd had cleaner toilets." -Francina Kahl
After a year (almost two - gosh) of these unprecedented times, with the impending doom of illness lurking around every corner, one thing has become very, very clear to me: life is short.
At some level, this is of course terrifying. Like most Americans, I haven't grappled much with my own mortality and don't feel well equipped to anytime soon.
But I also see this fact as an invitation. Francina's quote is like a grownup YOLO - a reminder to look up from your Clorox and smell the roses.
While the past year has seen me hunkering down more than ever, it has also seen me say YES to opportunities with new urgency - like getting a puppy, living on my own for the first time, and investing in my body and my mind by doing things like last winter's HIIT & Flow Teacher Training.
Now that we've rounded the corner into October and 2022 is a mere few months away, I encourage you to look at it not with fear, but as an opportunity to say yes to some of the things you've been putting off too long.
But - don't forget to clean your toilet, too.
With love,
Ruby and the Flex & Flow Team
(P.S. Shameless plug: if the H&F training is on your bucket list, you can sign up now to get a head start on your yeses for 2022)
